Sarah Mellor

Hailing from Denver, Colorado, Riley moved to Chicago shortly after graduating from the University of Kansas.  She was raised with a passion for design.  Growing up with both a mother and grandmother who were  interior designers, it was inevitable that Riley would follow in their footsteps.  In 2015 she did just that when she joined the Leo Designs team.  Riley wears many hats at Leo Designs, both figuratively and literally: she draws a lot of her inspiration from fashion which reveals itself daily in her personal style.  Riley keeps us on trend with sourcing the newest  home products as well.  She  is  an integral part of every project.  As master mood board creator Riley loves to visually tell the story that the team will create within the space.  She has an eye for detail, from window treatments to special accessories, which always adds something unique to each project.  Riley manages all orders and keeps the schedule for each project moving forward.  She is patient and diligent and we all benefit from her strong work ethic.

Katie Kaywood

Katie grew up in a small town outside of Chicago and studied interior design at Illinois State University.  After college she headed straight to the big city to pursue her dream job as a designer.  Katie joined Leo Designs in 2015 and has been an invaluable part of the team ever since.  From the start of a project through completion, Katie understands what it takes to manage a high end project.  Her fastidious eye for detail paired with her ability to keep a client informed and on budget are key in every project.  Katie understands space planning and drafts plans in CAD to help relay our vision.  Her positivity, creativity,  and organizational skills make the most challenging projects run smoothly.  Katie ensures that our projects are completed in a timely fashion and that each home is move-in ready.  She loves seeing a vision come to life, especially in the client’s eyes.
