As Leonardo da Vinci aptly said, “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” Perched on the top floor of a historic Chicago three-flat, this Lincoln Park family’s home is a vintage lover’s dream. The clients saw through the formerly cluttered interior and were eager to strip it back to its authentic bones.
We brought that vision to life through a refined, understated palette, new herringbone flooring, and one-of-a-kind furnishings that bring depth without overwhelming the space. The classic galley kitchen and butler’s pantry were designed to feel timeless, streamlined, and highly functional.
Every detail was reimagined—from the custom floor plan and hidden pantry doors to new millwork designed to echo the building’s original architecture. Modern elements like sleek fireplaces, sculptural lighting, and contemporary furnishings play against the historic envelope, creating a quiet tension between old and new that feels both intentional and effortless.
