Nail Factory Conversion
For a family that loves to mix up their surroundings and entertain extended family and friends, converting an old nail factory into their new home made perfect sense. We kept it simple, adding visual interest with a custom iron and glass partition and coordinating custom light fixture, a metal clad indoor pool and a stainless second kitchen. The main gloss white kitchen features a dramatic stainless hood and sliding marble slab wall that is both beautiful and functional: it duals as spice storage. The open layout is ideal for hosting large gatherings and a fun spot for young children to skateboard and ride their bikes..A rooftop basketball court and indoor pool extend the home’s sense of play, while a private guest wing offers separation and retreat. At the edge, a balcony overlooking the “L” train situates the project firmly within the rhythm of the city, reinforcing its distinctly urban character.
