Gold Coast Getaway
This condo located in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast serves as an auxiliary home for our clients, whose primary residence is located on the beachfront in sunny California. Our task was to bring the West Coast vibes to the Midwest. To achieve that goal, we replaced the dark flooring with pale white oak floors and continued the tones throughout. We designed simple yet practical built-ins to create depth and solve storage issues. Some highlights include a family room built-in with a fireplace that has hidden storage and a bar for entertaining. Additionally, the custom furnishings were upholstered in varying hues of cream and sand, a serene and cozy backdrop to the stunning city and lake views that allow them to keep an eye on everything Chicago has to offer. The Noguchi light, soft textiles and airy drapery add to the relaxed and comfortable mood they are accustomed to and is the perfect backdrop for entertaining their family and friends.
